Courtney is a 20-something with a background in English via Portland State University. Growing up in Southern California, she visited the Disneyland Resort frequently. It was here that she was first introduced to Brer Rabbit, prompting her to seek out stories in her local library and bookstores for the remainder of her childhood. As an adult, she has not forgotten the joy and entertainment those stories brought, as well as a deeper understanding of the underlying themes. She currently lives in San Diego, CA.
